Welcome back from Memorial Day Weekend! 13 more days to go! We spent a little time to begin the period reviewing the concepts from last week and going through some entry task practice. The lesson today then focused on being able to work well with the three different types of line equations that are used in this unit. The slope-intercept form, the standard form, and the point-slope form. All three can be converted into the other two, and we went through some practice of how to do that. We also went through 4-5 examples of how to write linear equations based on pieces of information that is provided to us. The students then got started on their assignment.
Assignment: section 13-7; page 555-556; WE #1-34; skip multiples of 3
