Geometry; 5/17

We continued our work with solid objects today by taking a look at how pyramids are studied.  The new concept today involved finding what is called the slant height of a pyramid.  This is needed in order to figure out the lateral area of the triangle.  It is determined by using the pythagorean theorem, but the correct numbers from the diagram must be used in order to get it to work.  We went over a couple of examples together before getting started on the assignment.
