Geometry; June 9-10

Today is finals day.  The students will be taking their 2nd semester final during our finals testing block.

Geometry; 6/7

We went over a few questions from yesterday's review to start the class period today before focusing on trig ratios and circle calculations in our review lesson today.  The bulk of the period was spent working on the 2nd final exam review packet.

We went over our 2nd review for the final today together to start the period.  We then worked on the last review for the final that specifically deals with circles.  Part 1 of the final is tomorrow during class and part 2 will be Friday during our final exam time slot.

Geometry; 6/6

We went over some review problems together to start the period in preparation for the final.  After going through the review problems, we then reviewed the formula sheet that the students will be using on the final.  After this, the students got started on their first finals review packet.

We went over the first finals review packet in class today.  After answering several questions, the students then got their 2nd review packet and got to work on it.

The students got their first part of the final exam review in class today.  We went over the test format and the formula sheet to help them in their preparation for the final.  The students then spent the period working on their review #1.

We went over our homework together today. After answering the homework questions, I then went over 4-5 review topics dealing with transformations with the students together before getting started on the review sheet.  The students spent the rest of the period working on the review sheet.

We spent a little time at the beginning of the period going over the review sheet and answering any last minute questions that the students had.  The remainder of the period was spent taking the chapter 10 test on constructions.

Geometry; 6/1

We spent some time going over homework today before taking a look at geometric symmetry.  We went over the three types of symmetry that are most common:  line symmetry, point symmetry, and rotational symmetry.  In doing so we did a few examples with both regular and irregular shapes before getting started on the homework.

We answered homework questions today before getting started on our chapter 10 review.  The students spent the majority of the period working on their constructions review packet.
