Honors Geometry; 5/16

We began our unit on coordinate geometry today by taking a look at how to determine the distance between two graphed points.  This distance formula comes from the pythagorean theorem and will be used throughout this chapter.  We also looked at how to use the distance formula to determine the equations of circles.  We worked with circles that were either centered at the origin or one with centers other than the origin.  The students then got started on their assignment.

Assignment:  section 13-1;  page 526-527;  WE 1-11 odds,  17-37;  skip multiples of 3 and skip #34
