We continued our work with circles today by taking a look at some of the properties of tangents to circles. The main concept used was that tangents to circles are also perpendicular to the radius of the circle at the point of tangency. We can use this fact to work a variety of right triangle problems and determine values of tangent segments. We went through a few examples together before getting started on the homework.
