The lesson today focused on how to work with area ratios of various shapes. The main emphasis was the area ratio between similar shapes, as we looked at the relationship between the scale factor, perimeter ratio, and area ratios. These shortcuts can be used in a wide variety of problems. The students then got started on their assignment.
