We continued our work with areas today by taking a look at the area of parallelograms, triangles, and rhombuses. The three formulas were given, but the main part of the lesson involved how to figure our the parts that are then plugged into the formulas. These parts involve shortcuts from the unit on right triangles. The students then got started on the assignment at the end of the class period.
