We got started working on chapter 8 today which deals with right triangles. In order to have the necessary skills to work with the pythagorean theorem, we reviewed how to simplify radicals with both numbers and variables today. This is an algebra skill, but it will be used heavily in this chapter, so we will spend a couple of days reviewing it before we begin our study of right triangles.
