We continued our work with area formulas today by taking a look at how to figure out the area of regular polygons. We used our previous knowledge of circles to do this and also introduced a couple of new vocab terms that apply to polygons. We learned how to find the perimeter, apothem, and radius of a regular polygon in order to determine its area. We went through the formula setup and then did a couple of example problems before the students got started on their assignment.
