We continued our work with areas today by taking a look at the area formulas for the parallelogram, the rhombus, and the triangle. We went through how these formulas are derived and then 1-2 samples of each type of problem. We reviewed the ideas of trig ratios and pythagorean theorem and how to use these tools to get the necessary dimensions. The students then got started on their assignment at the end of the period.
