We continued our work with quadratics today by showing how they can be used to work with rational expressions. Essentially these are fractions that involve quadratics and other polynomials. The key thing is to be able to factor and simplify the quadratics first, so that common factors can be cancelled out. We went over 4-5 examples together of these types of problems before the students got started on their assignment.
