Our study of area and perimeter today focused on working with circles. Both complete and semicircles were demonstrated in the examples, and the students worked with the familiar formulas of area and circumference of circles. We also showed the difference between an exact and approximate value to areas in working with circles. After 4-5 examples, the students then got started on their homework.
