We continued our work with area of polygons today by taking a look at parallelograms, triangles, and rhombi. Each one of these shapes has a short area and perimeter formula that we derived and then used in some sample problems. After 3-4 examples together and getting the formulas recorded on their notecard, the students then got started on the assignment.
