We started our second unit today by talking about the different types of reasoning that are used to solve problems. Today's topic was inductive reasoning. We showed how to identify number and shape patterns in order to come up with a conjecture. We also showed how to disprove a conjecture by coming up with a counterexamples. We went through 4-5 examples together before the students got started on their assignment.
