Geometry assignment; 3/16

We continued our study of circles today by taking a look at a new type of angle.  We have worked with central and inscribed angles, yet the new angle types are formed by intersecting lines either inside or outside the circle.  They do not go through the center of the circle.  These angles cut off arcs that can be calculated using two different formulas.  We went over how to identify these drawings and how to use these formulas in calculations in class.  The students then got started on their homework.

Assignment:  section 9-6;  page 359-360;  WE  #1-21 all
