We began our unit on transformations today. We introduced the vocabulary word "transformation" and talked about how the word "isometry" applies to transformations. The first transformation we covered was the reflection of a figure. We identified the line of reflection (axis of reflection) first and then used this to find the reflected image. We demonstrated horizontal, vertical, and diagonal lines of reflection before the students got started on their assignment.
