Today's work focused on reviewing the 4 transformations that we have covered in this chapter and going over how to work with a couple new types of rotation diagrams. Much of the period was spent working on the chapter 14 review in preparation for the test tomorrow.

Our topic today was working with similarity between solid objects. We used some skills from our previous chapter to find both the area ratios and the volume ratios of various shapes to see how they relate to the scale factor. We went through 3-4 examples before getting started on the assignment.

We spent a little more time today working on similar objects and scale factors. We set up several different types of ratio problems together in which the students had to find the scale factor first. We worked through these together before getting started on the chapter 12 review sheet.

Our topic of study today was how to determine line and rotational symmetry in various types of figures. We went over several different pictures and figures to establish a pattern for both lines of symmetry and rotational order. The students then got started on their assignment.

We continued our work with transformations today by taking a look at how to compose two different types of transformations. The notation was introduced, as was the order in which the transformations take place. We went through a few examples together before getting started on the homework assignment.
