Algebra 10-12 assignment; 2/25
We continued reviewing the point slope equation of the line today and then covered our final topic of the unit. We took a look at how to determine if a line is perpendicular or parallel to another line. We used the slope intercept form of the line to determine this. If the slope is the same, then the lines are parallel. If the slopes are negative reciprocals of each other, then the lines are perpendicular. We went over 3-4 examples together in class before the students then got started on their assignment.

We started off this week by taking a look at a new type of line equation - the point slope form. This varies slightly from the slope-intercept form of a line, and we went through several examples pointing out the difference between the two line forms. We also went over how to convert one form of a line into the other form together. After several examples together, the students then got started on their homework at the end of the period.
