Geometry assignment; 10/22

We worked through 4 different review examples today before starting on the chapter 3 review packet.  The students then spent the last half of the period finishing the review packet and preparing for the test tomorrow.

Assignment:  Chapter 3 review packet

14.  x = 15;  y = 40

Inductive and Deductive Reasoning Page

1.  Inductive reasoning;  based on a repeated pattern of experiences
2.  Deductive reasoning;  based on a single fact that her father told her earlier
3.  Deductive reasoning;  based on a single fact that the teacher had stated about showing no work
4.  Inductive reasoning;  based on observation of paycheck patterns and early projects completed
5.  Inductive reasoning;  a pattern of different ties is observed and a conclusion is made as a result

6.  the next drawing in the pattern will have 5 rows of dots in a vertical column;  each row will have 4 dots.

7.  next number is 32;  the numbers double each time

8.  four triangles pointing up next to four triangles pointing down
