We continued our work with deductive reasoning today by working through the first 2-column proofs that the students have seen. We began by using algebra to introduce the concept of two column proofs and how to use properties of numbers in solving them. We then showed a couple of geometric proofs involving drawings and postulates that the students could begin to get familiar with.
