Today's lesson was involved with learning how to completely solve a right triangle. We used all the trig ratios, their inverses, and the pythagorean thm. when necessary. These multistep problem are one that show a person's complete knowledge of how to use the 3 trig ratios.

Honors Algebra 2; 3/11
We continued our work with sequences and series today by taking a look at geometric sequences. The goal of this task is to find a common ratio and then to construct recursive and explicit formulas using it. We went through 4-5 examples together before the students got started on their assignment.

Geometry; 3/10
We continued our work with radicals today by going over 3 different operations with radicals. We demonstrated how to multiply and divide with radicals, and how to rationalize a denominator. These algebra skills will also be used quite a bit as we move forward in this unit.
Assignment: Working with Radicals WS
Assignment: Working with Radicals WS
Geometry 10-12; 3/10
Today's lesson was the first one involving the inverse trig functions. We went over how to use the inverse sine to determine angle measures. A big part of this lesson was learning how to use the calculators to find the inverse sine of a ratio. After 5-6 examples together, the students got started on their assignment.

Honors Algebra 2; 3/10
We continued our work with sequences and series today by taking a look at what a series is and how to work with the summation notation. We got familiar with a few more problem types and notation before the students got started on their assignment.

Geometry; 3/9
We started our unit on right triangles today by reviewing some concepts involving simplifying radicals and working with perfect squares. These algebra concepts will be used heavily as we work with right triangles during the upcoming unit.

Geometry 10-12; 3/9
Today's lesson involved working with the tangent ratio, and continuing the practice with the sine and cosine. We went through 5-6 examples together before getting started on the assignment.
